Trappes attack: suspect in psychiatry, counter-terrorism investigation continues

Suspect of the deadly attack on Trappes and La Verrière in the Yvelines remains in charge in psychiatry, according to information published on Monday 26 October. Kévin T., 39, is suspected of killing Pengo Bossio Wangi, a 26-year-old French MMA lover, and seriously injured five people on Friday. His custody was suspended after a psychiatric examination. According to their description, a scooter man pursued by the suspect takes refuge in an Esso gas station, after two women. He seems wounded and stays on the ground. The assailant appears at the door, briefly targets him, then leaves again. Two people were injured in this gas station, and three in La Verrière, according to the published account. News17 adds to the journey: citing the first PNAT statement, the media reports shooting at six sites and an arrest in Coignières. A psychiatric observation, not a conclusion on responsibility

News17 stated that the transfer to the psychiatric infirmary of the Paris police prefecture followed an examination conducted on Saturday night. The PNAT, quoted by the media on Sunday morning, announced a 48-hour observation period. Resumption of custody depends on the suspect's state of health.
